Based in Newton, we are a full service interior design firm who manages projects from conceptualization to completion. We work on projects near and far, ranging from the Hamptons all the way up to Lake Winnipesaukee. Since 2016 our mission has been to create beautiful spaces that are approachable and timeless, while meeting the demands of  everyday life. Along with Meg, there is a team of talented individuals who all play integral roles in the firm and are vital to each projects success. We are a group of kind people who are obsessed with design and enjoy the process. We love what we do!

ABOUT THE FIRM

MEET MEG

Meg’s years of experience in the design industry are starting to catch up with her! Having earned a degree in Interior Design from Parsons School of Design shortly after college, she spent the early part of her career working at residential firms in New England. In 2016, Meg officially launched MMI from a folding chair in her home. In all parts of life, Meg gravitates towards things that are comfortable, livable and meaningful. She is most proud of the kind, hardworking and creative team she has assembled, and feels privileged to help clients turn their house into a home.

Meg lives in Newton with her husband, daughters, and two dogs. She loves going to bed early (by 9:30p), watching ‘The Voice’ with her family, and still pinches herself when clients hire her.

MEET OUR TEAM

ARI

Designer

Ari was born in Lima, Peru, and came to the United States in her teens. For college, she moved to Brooklyn, where she graduated from the Pratt Institute. Since then, Ari has worked in high-end residential design firms in Manhattan and Boston before joining the MMI team in 2023.

She loves designing spaces that are sophisticated yet functional and unique. Her design aesthetic is influenced by different cultures, periods of time, and places she’s visited. In her free time, Ari frequents new restaurants and passes time outdoors.

SHELBY

Designer

Shelby is a born and raised New Englander who has loved interior design ever since she can remember. She graduated from college with a degree in Fashion Design, but quickly transitioned to a career working in high end residential design. Shelby joined MMI in 2023.

Shelby thrives in a collaborative environment and loves seeing her work come to life. She enjoys creating beautiful spaces and wholeheartedly believes in the power and impact of a well-designed home. Shelby resides outside of Boston with her husband, son and little cockapoo, Mabel. Away from the office, she enjoys a good book, volunteering, going for walks, spending cozy weekends in Vermont and Maine, and indulging in delicious meals with the people she loves.

KEELIN

Designer

Keelin joined the MMI team in 2020 when she came on as a Junior Designer to assist Meg in an exciting time of growth. Now as a Designer, she is responsible for design development from start to finish and plays an integral role in client, builder, and vendor communications.

Keelin loves designing a timeless and memorable space, mixing old and new, and integrating natural materials wherever possible. Prior to working at MMI, she studied interior design at the BAC and worked at another residential firm in Boston.

She lives on the Northshore with her husband, sons, and massive Swiss Mountain dog, Ziggy. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking (and eating), walks with friends, an occasional trashy TV show, and spending time with her boys!

HILLARY

Procurement Coordinator

Hillary was born and raised in Dallas, TX. She grew up in the design world via her mother, so it runs deep in her blood. Hillary joined MMI in 2020 and is responsible for the procurement side of the design process which is integral to the operations at MMI. You can catch her proposing, purchasing and invoicing throughout the course of a project, using her detailed eye to keep track of items at any stage in the process.

Hillary moved to Boston to study vocal performance at Berklee College of Music and after experiencing her first lobster roll, and meeting her husband at the recording studio where she worked, she decided to become a northerner for good. Her Texan side still shines through when she sprinkles “y’all” casually into conversation and orders jalapeños on everything. Sheresides in Maine with her husband  and their pitbull, Pickles.

Jessica

Designer

Jessica joined the MMI team in 2024, bringing with her a wealth of experience from over a decade in luxury residential design. Her passion lies in understanding her clients' unique personalities and lifestyle goals to create tailored living spaces that are not only beautiful but also enhance their daily lives. Jessica prides herself on fostering an enjoyable and engaging design experience for her clients - which is easy given her positive attitude and great sense of humor.

Jessica's weekends are filled with outdoor adventures, whether on the water or exploring the mountains, with her husband and their beloved labradoodle Winnie. She enjoys traveling, great restaurants, and spending time with friends and family.

LAUREN

Director of Marketing & Operations

Lauren discovered her love for design as a kid while accompanying her mother to realtor open houses. She joined MMI in 2024 with over nine years of experience in the luxury residential design realm and she now expertly manages our daily operations while simultaneously spearheading our marketing initiatives. Her keen eye for detail allows her to capture the essence of the design process with a distinct editorial touch. Lauren's diverse background in event planning, retail, and graphic design helps her to thrive in the fast-paced design industry.

When she’s not in the office, you can find her traveling with friends, freelancing as a floral assistant, attempting the NYT’s crossword, binge watching anything Bravo, and playing with her new puppy, Poppy.

Every week, Meg curates and shares a list of her five favorite things. From books she's reading to a scarf you can't live without - it's quick, light, and a nice distraction from your daily duties!
